Modern business websites
Modern websites for sole traders and SMEs: fast, clear and easy to maintain, with essential SEO and clear content; we assess compatible WebMCP integrations, an emerging technology still in draft, as progressive enhancement where they fit.
What we solve
If customers need to check dimensions, variants or terms before asking for a price, a catalogue website with contact may be enough. If they need to complete a purchase and pay on the website, an online shop needs its own assessment and scope. Decide what the visitor should be able to do first; these are different projects.
A clear, up-to-date website with service-specific pages helps your customers understand what you offer and how to reach you: a few clear pages, fast loading, visible contact and content that answers what they ask.
Beyond classic SEO, we prepare the website for AI agents: structured, machine-readable content. With WebMCP, an emerging technology still in draft, websites will be able to expose tools an agent can use under supervision; we apply it where it makes sense, with no promises about its future support.
Common problems
- The current website is slow, old or nobody updates it
- Customers cannot find it in search engines
- It does not explain clearly what you offer or how to reach you
- It is not prepared for an AI assistant to use it
An illustrative example
Fictional case: a distributor receives enquiries about a catalogue part, but the price depends on finish and quantity. Its PDF contains a discontinued reference, and customers do not know what information to give when requesting a quote.
Proposal to assess: a page with a reference, checked dimensions and finishes, an authorised image and clear guidance on asking about price and availability. One person takes responsibility for keeping that information current. The enquiry starts a sales conversation; it does not confirm stock, a price or an order.
Proposed check: review a discontinued reference and another whose availability has not been confirmed. The page should state what is known and the next step, without presenting them as ready to buy. Also check that a person can identify the part and finish when preparing an enquiry. This is an example for agreeing the content, not an already implemented catalogue.
An illustrative scenario explaining the service; not the outcome of a real customer nor a promise of results.
What the engagement includes
- A fast website with clear services and contact
- Essential SEO: correct titles, descriptions and structure
- Consent-based measurement, without invasive tracking
- Content prepared to be quoted by AI assistants
- A guide for updating texts and images yourself
What we need from you
- For the first enquiry: what you sell, who it is for and what visitors should be able to do: enquire, request a quote or buy
- One example product page with its reference, description, relevant dimensions or variants, and images you have permission to publish; a fictional example is enough to start the conversation
- How you confirm prices and availability today, who answers enquiries and who keeps the catalogue current
- Pages and languages needed, your current domain if any, and available materials; do not send passwords or private customer data
- One person to approve content and design; hosting, loading product references and connections to other programs are defined in the proposal
Scope and costs
Scope is agreed in writing: number of pages and languages, whether copywriting is included, and features such as forms or catalogues. No shop or online payment unless expressly agreed.
The domain, hosting and third-party services are contracted separately; account ownership and the billing arrangement are agreed in the proposal. Later maintenance is optional.
Frequent questions
Is a catalogue website enough, or do I need an online shop?
A catalogue with contact may fit if pricing or product choice needs a conversation before an order is agreed. An online shop is assessed if customers need to select, buy and pay on the website. Before deciding, describe how you confirm variants, availability and prices. A catalogue and contact do not themselves include payment collection or synchronised stock; any connection is assessed and agreed separately.
What is WebMCP?
An emerging proposal for websites to expose tools usable by AI agents in the browser. It is in draft with limited support (a Chrome origin trial): we follow it closely without selling it as a standard.
Do you guarantee first place on Google?
No. We apply correct SEO hygiene and useful content, but there is no ranking guarantee: it depends on content, competition and crawling and indexing.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. We deliver a simple guide and avoid unnecessary dependencies for text and image changes.
Do you build online shops?
It depends. A website with a catalogue and contact is our strength; selling with online payment needs terms and tax treatment studied separately.
